iOS 10.2 sixth beta has just been released by Apple to the developers and public beta testers. This came a few days following the fifth beta of iOS 10.2's release, and a month after the iOS 10.1 was given, which was the first iOS 10 major update. Now, the registered developers can download the iOS 10.2 sixth beta from the Apple Developer Center or OTA with the correct installation of configuration profile.
The iOS 10.2 brings new emoji like drooling face, clown face, palm face, selfie, shark, owl, pancakes, croissant, butterfly and avocado among others. Aside from that, a hundred more new emoji are reported to be available in both female and male genders, including the current emoji that are redesigned to add more detail, making them appear more realistic.
iOS 10.2 also includes new Music sorting options, new wallpapers and buttons for Shuffle and Repeat, an option for preserving camera settings and the official TV app among others. According to reports, the TV app works as an Apple-designed TV guide, which aims to simplify the TV watching experience, allowing the users to find new movies and TV shows to watch.
Meantime, the iOS 10 has been considered by Apple as the company's biggest release ever for the iOS users. The said OS brought a Siri SDK for developers, a redesigned lock screen, a "Home" app for HomeKit users, an overhauled Messages app, redesigned Maps and Apple Music apps as well as new facial and object recognition features in Photos, MacRumors reported.
Meanwhile, reports suggest that there may likely or unlikely be a fix on iOS 10.2 regarding the iPhone shutdowns. Instead, it appears to lean more towards that direction, pointing to a battery replacement for the affected iPhone 6s handsets.
